Competition is often a distraction from development... realizing and actualizing more of my own capacity is the very next priority choice for each of us.  Competition demands that I focus comparatively.  Development usually requires an intense internal focus.  Personal development involves building individual self-care skills leading to less impulsive, less manipulative and less competitive social skills.
